I woke in a cell, along with the artisan, two escorts and the informant from Sparta. I had been unconscious for about a day and I still had the ring. One of the escorts explained to me that they had been captured just for staying in one place for too long. The informant said that the whole thing was a trap from the start. As I’m writing this, we are entering the temple. The friendly guards have allowed us into the chamber with the bust. It was sitting atop a marble pedestal and it was made of stone. A fine looking statuette, indeed. My friend only stared at the statue, captured by its magnificence. I had to elbow him in the ribs to pull him out of such a trance.
